Southwestern Bohemia offers a line of one-of-a-kind and very limited edition, handmade jewelry made from antique, heirloom, estate, and vintage materials (as well as modern and vintage-inspired finds) — inspired by mid-century modern, ’50s Lucite/Bakelite/Celluloid, Bohemia, and whimsy. Shanna Laura Studios was founded in Austin, Texas, in 2009, by Shanna Howard.

Creating jewelry is one of my creative outlets. Jewelry is one of the things I have loved and collected my whole life, beginning with a childhood love of my Czech grandmother’s costume jewelry. I’m inspired by mid-century modern, ’50s Lucite/Bakelite/Celluloid, Bohemia, and whimsy.

My husband and I are vintage and MCM lovers and pickers, so we may offer special finds here from time to time!
